When you're the most influential woman in media, you can make a book an overnight bestseller -- or kill someone's career in one fell swoop. And the woman who's putting Oprah Winfrey on trial claims that she did just that. Nomvuyo Mzamane, the former headmistress of Oprah's South African Leadership Academy for Girls, filed a lawsuit against the media mogul back in October. Mzamane claims that Oprah destroyed her career and reputation by blaming her for the sexual abuse allegations against the school that surfaced in 2007. Winfrey's lawyers tried to have the case dismissed, saying that the talk show host's negative comments were simply a statement of opinion -- but a federal judge ruled on Tuesday that Mzamane has enough evidence to make Oprah stand trial. The trial will take place in Philadelphia beginning on March 29. Oprah is expected to spend two weeks on the stand, defending statements such as, "It was my intention by putting somebody in charge who was African, and was female, I believe that (Mzamane) would care as much for these girls as I do myself. I'm sorry I was let down." Abuse of young girls is shockingly common in Africa, and Winfrey "cleaned house" by firing staff members after her school became part of the problem. The Leadership Academy now has more than 300 students and has inspired a heartwarming celebrity trend: Madonna is launching a girls' school in Malawi, and Angelina Jolie is funding a girls' school in Afghanistan. Hopefully they'll learn from Winfrey's mistakes, and keep a close eye on how the students are being treated. His estate will earn $200 million guaranteed for 10 projects in seven years. The landmark contract extends through 2017 and could pay his estate much more. One of the albums will be of never-before-released Jackson recordings that will come out in November. Enough unreleased material may exist for 2-3 albums. Projects may also include a video game, a DVD compilation of videos and a re-release of Off the Wall, Jackson's fifth studio album, which debuted back in '79. Before Jackson's tragic death in June at age 50, he wanted to re-issue the album, people familiar with the deal said. Now he's getting his wish, posthumously. One project already counted in the contract was a two-disc album that accompanied This Is It, the film based on footage of Jackson's 2009 concert rehearsals. Madonnaâs boyfriend feels âlike a married manâ. Brazilian model Jesus Luz â who has been in a relationship with the â4 Minutesâ singer for around 15 months â feels like he has a complete family of his own since he started dating the 51-year-old star. He tells Brazilâs RG Vogue magazine: âI consider myself a married man. I have a family. At my age, my father was also married. My mother gave birth to me when she was 15.â While Jesus also admitted in the interview that he canât help but get jealous of the attention Madonna receives, it seems he is not the only one. It has been claimed the âCelebrationâ singer banned her boyfriend from partying with Lindsay Lohan at the VIP Room nightspot in Paris, France recently. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: âLindsay got her people to phone the club to try and hang out with him. She knew he was hosting a night there with Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. âBut when Madonnaâs people heard, they put a block on it. Jesus wasnât one to argue, he didnât want to upset Madonna and was just there to work. Lindsay had to make to with a night in her hotel.â Man! Lindsay gets such a bad wrap.
