How can you possibly go wrong w/ Betty White, right? I’m not really into chick flicks, but I’m definitely a fan when Betty White’s dropping really dirty jokes. Here’s more about the film: A young woman, Marni (Kristen Bell), discovers her brother, Will (Jimmy Wolk), is about to marry the girl, Joanna (Odette Yustman), who was Marni’s High School rival, and Marni sets out to expose the fiancee’s true colors. The plot thickens when Marni’s mother Gail (Jamie Lee Curtis) meets up with Joanna’s aunt Ramona (Sigourney Weaver), and it is revealed that Gail and Ramona were also high school rivals. If two interviews and countless PopWrap posts didn't make it abundantly clear, allow me to lay it all out there: I love everything about Kristin Chenoweth. Her smile, her self-deprecating humor, her voice ... my god, that voice. So news that "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy is tailoring a 30 minute musical comedy for her is pretty much the best thing I've heard all day. The best thing I heard last night was the Tony winner on "My Life on the D List" where she helped Kathy Griffin prepare for her musical debut by taking her through some vocal exercises before making like April Rhodes and stealing the show.

But not everyone was thrilled with Tinseltown's takeover of Broadway's big night. Theater star Hunter Foster even started a Facebook campaign, "Give the Tonys Back to Broadway," and expressed his feelings that Scarlett Johansson's Tony win for her role in A View From the Bridge was based strictly on her A-List status. He argues that the big names are stealing the thunder from The GreatWhite Way's less known actors -- which Johansson says she understands. "I pounded the pavement for years, and I know what it's like to struggle as an actor. A lot of it is luck and, certainly, a lot of it is opportunity -- and the lack of that," Johansson told BroadwayWorld.com. "So, I totally understand the frustration there." But the actress says naysayers should try to see the positive side to having well- known stars take the stage. "The actors we've seen this season that we recognize from film -- Denzel Washington, Viola Davis,Liev Schreiber and Catherine Zeta-Jones, etc. -- have not only made a huge impact on ticket sales but have given tour de force performances and all started their careers as stage actors, dedicating themselves to making an impression in the theater," Johansson argued. "This goes to show that actors are actors, whatever the outlet, and with perseverance and drive, can cross the boundaries of the medium." Still, the 25-year-old IronMan 2 star says though she can see Foster's side, she won't feel bad for taking home the coveted trophy. "A lot of my friends who are struggling actors are going through the same thing. But, I can't apologize for it. I have worked my ass off to get to where I am so I understand that struggle," Johansson explained. "For me, it's more about hiring the right person for the job. "To put it in Elton's exact words, when he got the invitation, he was 'a little surprised,'" John's partner David Furnish told People about the conservative radio personality's desire to have the openly gay icon at his nups to Kathryn Rogers. "And then, when it turned out to be a genuinely sincere invitation … Elton said, 'Life is about building bridges, not walls.'" Furnish said that John, who reportedly earned a cool $1 million to serenade the couple and their guests, also saw it as another opportunity "to go where people wouldn't expect me to go." Hosted by Promises, Promises star Sean Hayes, who acknowledged the whole Newsweek controversy with a convincing makeout session with costar Kristin Chenoweth, the actor led the parade of notable names who made their way up to the podium at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Scarlett Johansson accepted her very first Tony from Katie Holmes and Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe for her role in A View From the Bridge. "Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be on Broadway," she said. "And here I am." While picking up the statue for best featured actress in a play, Johansson also thanked hubby, Ryan Reynolds, calling him "My Canadian." Denzel Washington was on hand to pick up his first Tony for his role in Fences, telling the crowd, "My mother always said man gives you the award and God gives you the reward. I guess I got both tonight."
