Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima & Chanel Iman were at the launch of a Victoria’s Secret in Toronto. The press spent most of their time interviewing Adriana Lima, asking her about her pregnancy, diet, being sexy, workout, etc.. Erin Heatherton and Chanel Iman got a few quotes in but the article was mainly devoted to Adriana; no surprise. âI love that Victoriaâs Secret and now fashion is embracing curves - because that is what women are. Femininity is all about curves and itâs a wonderful thing,â she says in a soft Brazilian accent. âItâs more about your attitude and how you feel than how you look.â That said, the veteran Angel, whoâs been with the brand since 1999, says it took a lot of time and effort to get back into VS shape after giving birth to her daughter, Valentina, in November 2009. âIt wasnât easy,â she admits. âIt was difficult â because I gained a lot of weight. I gained over 46 pounds and I really had to work very hard to get back to shape. Iâm still getting back, you know.â Lima jumps rope and boxes to workout and tone up (she has little scars on her knuckles to prove it), and starting in September, sheâs going to take her routine up a notch to get ready for the brandâs famed über-hot runway show that films in November. The Brazilian beauty, who already looks fierce and fit in dark denim jeans, a cropped black leather jacket and a white T-shirt that reads âVictoriaâs Secret Loves Canada,â will switch between an all-protein diet and a juice detox every two weeks for about two months before the show. Last night the Council of Fashion Designers of America held their annual awards ceremony in New York City, an event that brings out the heavy hitters. Per usual the red carpet featured ladies whose personal style permeates the pages of InTouch, then the coasts and finally K-Mart. It's very much reminiscent of Miranda Priestly's cerulean sweater scene in "Devil Wears Prada." My five favorite gowns from last night's ceremony may not be ground-breaking or fashion forward but they are all marvelous. Oh, and for the record Sarah Jessica Parker isn't in my fave five. In fact I think her Rorschach-redux was the night's worst. The same problems that plagued "SATC2" apply here -- all the right elements are there (cut and color/cast and crew) but the result sags under the weight of too muchness. We don't need to punctuate two and a half hours of menopause jokes with a self-absorbed heroine and we don't need this much patterned material. The midnight blue Rebecca Taylor dress Michelle selected is like a cool drizzle in the middle of the Sahara. Refreshing and clean, the sleek embroidery makes getting caught in a downpour feel desirable. If Michelle was water, then "Lost" star Maggie Grace fully embodies air. Breezy is one adjective you could use to describe her Notte by Marchesa mini. Effervescent might be another. I don't know if the tide is turning for Gwyneth Paltrow -- first I obsessively watch her cook and now I'm kvelling over her couture. I'm going to chalk this accolade up to designer Michael Kors, who not only received The CFDA's Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award last night, but also designed this dress. I know that selecting a reality TV star as one of the best dressed women at a prestigious style event like this could be considered a crime, but "The City's" Whitney Port looked criminally good in this slinky, sexy, silver David Meister gown. Bow down bitches, this is how it's done. Resplendent in Giambattista Valli, 54-year-old (you should be so lucky) Iman not only took home The CFDA Fashion Icon Award but stole the show, my heart and the title of PopWrap's Best Dressed.

Supermodel Iman Joins Bravo s Fashion Show

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the supermodel will join Isaac Mizrahi for hosting duties when the series returns later this year. "We are happy to welcome Iman to the Bravo family," said Frances Berwick, general manager and executive vice president of Bravo, in a statement. "Breaking barriers in the fashion industry, Iman is a true pioneer and her unparalleled credibility will inspire the contestants and be a perfect match to the always exciting, Isaac Mizrahi." Iman, who is married to David Bowie, is replacing former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland as co-host. The supermodel is CEO of IMAN Cosmetics, Skincare & Fragrances, a line female products. Reuters - Supermodel Iman has signed on to co-host the second season of Bravo's "The Fashion Show" with designer Isaac Mizrahi. The fashion competition series returns later this year. Iman, the wife of David Bowie, began her career in 1975 and today is the founder and CEO of IMAN Cosmetics, Skincare and Fragrances.
